Summer Retreat in the Mountains

31st of July - 4th of August 2024

This is not your usual yoga retreat. Take a break from everyday life and join us for this journey deep within yourself. Inviting aliveness and celebrating the summer. Together, we are creating a choreography where intensity and expression alternate with silence and stillness, where the doing and the not doing dance together effortlessly.

Find the power of deep relaxation and the magic of your own energy in Kaula Tantra Yoga. And let our powerful breathwork practices guide you into feeling and transforming what is alive in you. These core practices are accompanied by meditation, singing, dancing, nature connection, and communication tools. All weaved together, leading you into a deep connection to yourself and existence.

A collaboration between Fully Alive and Durga’s Tiger School.
Led by Carmen Iten and Christian Marti.

Where?

This retreat takes place at Spina – Lebensraum Malix close to Chur. This is our home since January of 2023. Last year, a small group bought the property as a cooperative. We are exploring how to live and create life in cooperation and as part of nature. How to live in community, and how to create a space of healing and transformation.

We are located above the village of Malix, with great views of the surrounding mountains and in close proximity to a forest. The venue consists of a main house, which houses the seven community members and retreat guests booking a room, a side building with a seminar space hosting the retreat, and one hectare of land with powerful old trees, a lively small stream with two ponds, vegetable and herbs gardens and a lot of beautiful nature space with hidden corners.

During the retreat, we will live together and share meals, creating a tribal, family spirit. Our group will be small, with a maximum of 20 participants.

Venue address: Spinaweg 2, 7074 Malix, Switzerland

Getting there: The venue can be reached by public transport: Take the Post Bus from Chur to stop Malix, Dorf. From there, it is a 25-minute walk uphill. Upon request, we offer a pick-up from the bus stop in Malix on Wednesday, May 8, at 17:15. Parking spots are limited and available for free. Please check in with us beforehand to see if there is still space for your car. And we will send the link to a table for ride share coordination to all participants before the start of the retreat.

Please consider: This is a space in transition, and it is the first year that seminars are held at this venue. So we want to mention that some flexibility may be required during your visit, as we are figuring some things out on the go. The rooms are simple, and the sanitation facilities are basic with a toilet on each floor and shower stalls on the ground floor. At the same time, the potential for creating a transformative group space is huge, with a lot of freedom to use the big outdoor area.

New Year's Retreat - a time to pause

28th of December 2024 - 2nd of January 2025

The days in-between the years are the perfect moment to take a break, to pause. And from that space, to consciously look back at what was. To express whatever emerges, be it gratitude, joy, grief, or anger. To feel. To let go. And then, to look ahead, at what is to come. To invite into our lives what makes us feel alive and fills us with purpose.

Find the power of deep relaxation and connect to the wisdom of your own body in Kaula Tantra Yoga. And let our powerful breathwork practices guide you into feeling and transforming what is alive in you. Accompanied by nature connection, meditation, dancing, singing, and sharing in the group. All weaved together, creating a choreography where intensity and expression alternate with silence and stillness, where the doing and the not doing dance together effortlessly. Opening to a deep connection to yourself and existence.

A collaboration between Fully Alive and Durga’s Tiger School. Led by Carmen Iten and Christian Marti, accompanied by guest teachers.

Carmen Iten

Carmen has a passion for challenging herself and others to move beyond their comfort zone, letting curiosity and love guide the way. A personal crisis led her from a nomadic life in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas on a journey within herself. In this process, she went deep within her own discovery through mindfulness, embodiment practices and personal development. Later she trained as a yoga teacher, breathwork practitioner, and group facilitator. During the Yoga Teacher trainings and retreats she holds, she loves to create spaces for self-exploration. Spaces where participants can connect with their heart, body and mind. Spaces where each person can step into their own personal power.
